Why I Haven't Eaten Wendy's In 6 Years

A tragic story about how my Wendy's coworker treated me like a piece of meat.

Everyone loves a good 50 cent frosty or a cheeseburger for $1.25. The sight of both of those immediately makes me want to vomit. On a night I will never forget, I was working at Wendy's, it was around 8:00 PM on a Tuesday and we were about to close in a few hours. It was really slow so my manager came up to me and told me that I could just start taking the meat off the grill and begin cleaning up. I mush the meat into the hole that is used for the chili meat and start cleaning my area. As soon as I begin to clean my area someone comes through the drive-through. You can hear how large the man in the drive-through is just by the way he talked.

I will never forget those haunting 5 words that came out of his mouth. "Can I get 10 cheeseburgers?" I was panicking, but since we were not closed I had to give the man what he wanted. I grabbed the frozen patties in a hurry and tossed them onto the grill. I tried to cook these raw frozen patties as fast as I could, but it was physically impossible and I had the man in the drive-through screaming at me and my manager yelling in the background.

With all the stress and anxiety piling up, I just began to give the manager the meat to put on the buns. After giving her about 3 burgers she picks one up throws it across the room into my face and says, "Would you pay $1.25 for that?" I just stood there in complete and utter shock because my manager just threw a burger in my face. As I was standing there mouth agape she said, "You can leave." I responded "Gladly." The next day I came in with my uniform folded and told my co-workers that I had to quit. My other manager and co-workers begged me to stay, but I refused to be treated that way. This wasn't the only occurrence where I had been treated badly.

Almost every day something would happen or I would be punished for doing something wrong. Every time I see a Wendy's all I can think about is that awful experience and that is why I have not eaten at a Wendy's since. And eating a burger and a strawberry lemonade from there every day can get old.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
