The Most Annoying Thing to Shop For In a Store Is Sneakers

To me, it's not as easy as you think it is.

Recently, I needed a new pair of sneakers. I went to the mall to buy new sneakers. Most people in the world love to wear sneakers. However, shopping for sneakers changed my perspective on the process. How do people buy sneakers? To me, it is not easy as you think it is.

While I was shopping for sneakers, there were some things that I had to keep in mind. I was shocked by the price of the sneakers. The branded ones like Adidas and Nike were too expensive. They cost $59.99, $69.99, and higher than that! Those costs are about someone's work salary! When I saw those prices, I knew that I had to go to a different store.

One thing I hate about sneakers: shoelaces. Oh, great! I do not like to spend time with my shoelaces. I had to tie them into a knot. This with this and that with that! Then, I notice that the pointy things are still touching the dirty floor! Ai-yah! I do not want those pointy things on the floor. Imagine the bathroom floor! Now, those pointy things will be dirty! This is why I like shoes with no shoe-laces. The ones that you just put your feet into are the best ones for me.

As I was trying on the sneakers, I had to make sure that I like the design. There were some designs I like and other designs that I do not like. Sneakers are made differently for one's own taste. I had to make sure that the sneakers could fit me. If they did not fit me, then they would be a total no-no. I knew that comfort was a big component in trying out sneakers. Some sneakers bothered me. I did not want them to touch me and bother my bones. Sneakers should not be too loose. Being loose would be a problem, too. The only thought in my mind when I was trying out sneakers was, "I better find a pair of sneakers very soon. Just today. Not tomorrow. Not any other day."

Finally, I found the right sneakers. The only problem was that the box said that the sneakers cost $60 while the price tag said $39.99. Uh-oh. If it was $60, then I had to reject the sneakers. If it was $39.99, then I would buy the sneakers. When I asked the clerk at the cashier machine, she said that the sneakers were $39.99. Thank you! I was able to buy the sneakers! Hopefully, I do not have to buy new sneakers within the next few years.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
