There are few harder things in life than pulling for the Wolfpack. NC State may be the best college in the country, especially in terms of the college experience, but it's no lie that lately our athletics have been sub-par. The 2016-2017 athletic seasons so far, specifically football and basketball, have caused mixed emotions among fans. Here are 10 things you face being an NC State fan.
1. Our Players
Every year, we're supposed to have these great players that are going to greatly enhance and impact the team (i.e.: Yurtseven) and 9/10 they do not live up to their expectations.
2. Field Goals
I think this one is pretty self explanatory and this GIF does a great job depicting how good our kicker is! We have lost way too many games because of missed field goals (apparently there are open try-outs happening for a kicker in case anyone is interested!).
3. Our Student Section![]()
Our student section is wild, and you never know what is going to happen. Maybe it'll empty out at half time, maybe stuff like this will happen! No one knows, so enter at your own risk.
4. The UNC Game is Always Packed
We know we aren't going to win, yet we show up and wait outside the arena for 2 hours because Go To Hell Carolina!!
5. Gottfried, Got-fried!
Poor Mark, he brought us to a few Sweet Sixteens but has recently been fired. However, he will coach the rest of the season. Someone please explain to me how that makes any sense.

After sitting outside in Carter-Finley for hours on end watching a game we should have won, we have to deal with a sun burn! It's hot and sitting out in the open like that is killer. This happens every. single. week.
8. Bojangles
By the time football season ends, no one wants Bojangles anymore because it is a major food group for at least 16 weeks!
9. We're Underestimated
When our teams show up to play, we're actually pretty decent. Football beat UNC this year, and Notre Dame. And Basketball beat Duke!! These are huge accomplishments that get overshadowed by the suckiness.
