When you have a stressful day, it is nice to think of another place. For some people, it's just the general picture of a nice and warm sunny beach in the middle of spring (because then it's not hot) with few to no people around. For other's it might be your home, your grandparent's house, the city you grew up in, the park with your dog, the old mall you and your friends used to hang out in. Or maybe it's more of an event like conventions or going to an amusement park. It's very different for each and every person.
All that matters is that this is the stress free place that makes you happy. Not like a kid on the last day of school because that only happens once a year and is very limited and only lasts a small amount of time. But more of the kid (or happy adult) in the candy shop, much more of an ordinary experience, and ends up getting too much candy.
Knowing your happy place is good because you know where to go when you are stressed or sad or just want to relax. You know what makes you happy, which is the most important thing. And who doesn't like being able to make themselves happy with such a simple thing as going somewhere. It kind of makes life less stressful because you know of something that will definitely make you happy. It's kind of the same way as people eating ice cream when they broke up with their significant other or lost their job. If something bad happens you have ice cream. And if something bad happens you have this place.
It could be more than one happy place. I know that I have two happy places that never fail to make me happy.
It will always seem like your place. It will change overtime or maybe not at all but it will still be yours. Even if 100 million people walk the same path as you, that is still your path.
So if you are stressed today or maybe just not feeling 100% go take a drive to your happy place or if it's like my happy place, figure out the next time you can take a trip there.
