It's that time of year again. Big or small, whatever size of family you've got, holiday parties are inevitable. You may dread them, but you live for them. Nothing compares to spending the holiday season with our crazy families. It is always quite an experience. You never know what could go down this year.

Regardless of the different and unexplainable things that happen at the parties, there always certain ones that never change. Here are 15 of those things that you see occur every year:

1. Your mom running around and making sure everything is perfect

She's back at it again!

2. The little kids get whatever they want or they will raise hell and annoy everyone

Wow, I remember being able to boss the elders around just by throwing a tantrum.

3. That one aunt or uncle gets drunk way too soon

Oh, the party is about to get more fun now!

4. Acting like you've never participated in any excessive drinking while at school when you're given a drink

Oh, please! I have been to busy being a good student!

5. You and your cousins strategically picking seats not too close to any of the adults

You snooze, you lose!

6. Listening to the adults tell the same stories from previous years during dinner

Here we go again! I wonder what version they're going to tell us now.

7. Avoiding eye contact so no one will talk to you and ask you the most dreadful questions

Keep your head down low. Don't let anyone notice you unless you want to be bombarded with questions!

8. Everyone starts whining and groaning when it's time for family pictures

Are we really going to act like we didn't know we were taking pictures?

9. No one wants to cooperate, so pictures take even longer than they should

Something that could easily take less than an hour has become a two-hour long thing now.

10. Half of the family is drunk and causing a ruckus

So, who's going to start drama this year?

11. That one older cousin and their significant other have to deal with questions about settling down

And, I'll be over here stuffing my face with food.

12. Playing games to get everyone to bond otherwise everyone would just be sitting on their phones

These games will be one of the reasons this family falls apart for real.

13. Your dad and your uncles start throwing dad jokes left and right

If I laugh at every joke, can I get some cash or is that a no?

14. Watching everyone's careful facial expressions as they open their presents

When you can tell your cousins hate the stuff they got, but they have to be nice and be grateful.

15. Your grandma not holding back and roasting other family members

No one can ever stop this lady!

As crazy as our families are, the holidays would not be complete without them. We don't see each other all the time, so this time of year is always a special one. We are able to spend some time together. They may get annoying, but, at the end of the day, all we've got is each other.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
