Are you a college student? Do you like life hacks that make college life easier? I bet you do. Anything that makes life easier is great.

Don't like folding laundry

All you need is two laundry baskets. One will be for dirty clothes to wash at the end of the week, and the other will be for the clean clothes you have right now. This way you don't have to fold your laundry unless you don't like wrinkles in your clothing. I think I can live with wrinkles in my t-shirts. You can buy laundry baskets at the Dollar Tree.

Youtube

Anything you are learning in class can be found on Youtube. It may be helpful to listen and watch another person do what you are trying to do, like finding the constant in a statistics problem. Crash Course on Youtube is very helpful with most subjects, like world history, political science, biology, and chemistry. It has short video lectures about varying topics. I used it for studying political science.

Dollar Tree

You can find almost anything you need from there. Cleaning products, detergent, plates, forks, trash bags, and snacks are all available. Save every dollar you can. Money doesn't grow on trees.

Dryer sheets

If you have a favorite shirt and forgot to wash it, put dryer sheets in the armpits and let the shirt dry out over night. If you're a band student and can only afford one shirt, this trick is your best friend when you have to wear it again the next day.

Power strips

An easy way to open more power outlets to people. It keeps study groups together because everyone can share one outlet.

Toilet Paper Roll

You can organize your writing utensils on it. It's very cheap and easy to do. You go through more toilet paper roles than you think, so I'm sure you'll have plenty to do this trick.

Color Code

Color coding your notebooks makes it easy to distinguish which notebook is for which class. Red for English, blue for science, or green for art. Color coding pens for each class helps too.

All of these tips can be used to make college life just a bit easier on you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
