If you're a girl who grew up having lots of guy friends, you'll definitely understand this; but if you don't have amazing guy friends- well let me just tell you, y'all are missing out.

These guys will always have your back whether it's just a bad day, you're stressed with school, or you're going through a breakup! Guy friends are essential in every girl's life because no matter how many girls have your back, you need that brotherly figure's support! Plus, as dumb as boys can be sometimes (we still love you!) they are great at stopping you from overthinking. Girls are so quick to overthink literally EVERYTHING! Lucky for us, boys aren't exactly the same and that can be so helpful when you just need someone to tell you that whatever is happening doesn't matter as much as you think.

Everyone brings something different to the table, guys especially, and us ladies need to take hold of that whether its the way they love others well, to the way they listen.

Every girl needs a guy best friend because they will 100% call you out and you can trust them to be brutally honest. They have no problem being honest and giving you the truth that your gal pals might not always give you.

You can be real with them. And they WILL be real with you! Don't be afraid to ask them the stupid questions you are embarrassed to ask, and you don't have to worry about appearing a certain way. Guy best friends don't care if you just woke up, or if you spent an hour getting ready- cherish that!

Not only will you always be protected, but its like having a best friend and a brother all in one package! Plus, they are built-in wingmen who will assure you if a guy is good enough to date you.

In the world we live in, compliments go a long way- but the difference is a compliment from your guy best friend simply is so much more genuine than from the girl down the hall.

You'll always get asked "are you really, just friends?", "Is he your heart sparkle?", but much to many girl's surprises- YES, it's possible to just be friends with guys! Plus, if you ever need a plus one, you always have someone to accompany you without having to ask someone on a date!

Long story short, there are so many benefits of having really close guy friends and guy best friends. Not only are there benefits for us girls, but guys benefit from our perspective too! Guys bring so much more to the table that us girls need in order to see the world with bigger eyes. These boys who love us so well are able to speak so much truth into our world because of the way they were created, and how different yet the same we were created.

Ladies, be thankful for the guys who have your back, who are honest with you and who will put up with your girly nonsense!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
