Mother's Day is just around the corner! Moms are our best friends, they're our heroes. They support us and guide us through everyday life. They put us before them and are always there to help. But how can you give back to them on Mother's Day without spending a ton? Here is a list of affordable Mother's Day gifts to make her feel special:

1. Pedicure

What mom doesn't like pedicures? They get 45 minutes to relax and get a foot massage. Pedicures are perfect and around $25!

2. Massage Coupon

Groupon is your best friend! Moms are always worrying about other people and not themselves, they need some alone time to relax. A massage coupon is a perfect gift. Groupon has coupons as low as $25 for massages!

3. Scrap Book

Sentimental gifts are always the best! Gather up some childhood photos and put them together with a special touch of creativity!

4. Mom Necklace

Let her be a proud mom and show it off! Get a necklace, silver or gold plated, that says mom on it. She will love it!

5. Breakfast In Bed

Just for an extra special start to the day, if you're lucky to be with your mom on Mother's Day, make her breakfast in bed! She will love chowing down on her morning coffee and some pancakes in her bed with the people she loves!

Moms take pride in their kids. Etsy is the perfect place to find children orientated jewelry. They make it very sentimental and special!

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

1. My school is incredibly unique.

2. I am not just a number at my school.

3. I feel like I am contributing something to the community.

5. My professors know me and I feel that I can easily communicate with them.

9. Ability to join a sorority and have a house full of people I know I can talk to anytime I need to
