World renowned rapper, Eminem, has not released new music to fans in almost four years, but you could say that's all changed as the rapper chose to broadcast a freestyle of him bashing President Trump on the BET Hip Hop Awards. Perhaps the most notable line from Eminem's rant that truly helped to get his message across was, "We love our military and we love our country, but we f*king hate Trump."
The performance sparked a new thread of controversy with those cheering for the rapper's public portrayal of the President, while others saw it as just another celebrity divulging into a topic they know nothing about and creating an unnecessary divide amongst their fan base. However, politics aside, this stunt did make us remember how much we missed hearing music from the likes of Eminem in recent years.
In the hopes that this appearance is certainly not the last we will see or hear from the rapper, here's a ranking of some of his all-time greatest classics:
5. "Not Afraid"
Such a triumphant and powerful message of strength and new beginnings, "Not Afraid" will always be sure to stand the test of time.
4. "Sing For The Moment"
Through a story about your roots and coming from nothing, listeners will always feel like their worth and capabilities will only help them in achieving and receiving anything they want in life.
3. "Lose Yourself"
When a rap has such substance and is as incredibly catchy as "Lose Yourself," the ability to become an Eminem fan and the desire to hear more is only inevitable.
2. "Stan"
Because singers rarely devote writing songs from the view point of their listeners, "Stan" definitely has one of the most relatable lyrics to any of us who have ever considered ourselves a fan of any public icon.
1. "Love The Way You Lie"
A mega mashup with the likes of Rihanna, talking about aggression and heartbreak, definitely takes the number one seed.
