10 Things That Anyone Who Has Grown Up With Siblings Understands All Too Well

Growing up with siblings is a wild ride. From fighting, to laughing, to crying, and everything in between. My life wouldn't be the same without my brother and sister, even with all of the irritating things that they may do.

1. Your food gets eaten

The worst feeling is coming home and seeing that something you have been saving for this exact moment has already been eaten.

2. Getting into physical fights

The minute your sibling starts crying, you better think of something quick to get them to stop before Mom hears.

3. Having some dirt on them

Sometimes you have to just let them get away with doing something bad so that you can save it for use at a later time.

4. Cases of mistaken identity

Sometimes people will mistake you for your sibling and start talking to you and you just have to roll with it.

5. When they get yelled at for something you did

6. You kind of get over things quickly

You could be in a screaming match with your sibling and the next thing you know, you're sitting on the couch eating and watching Netflix like you weren't just about to yank each others heads off just a minute ago.

7. The great TV debate

There is never a time when you both will agree on what to watch when you first sit down and of course you can never leave the remote in there when you leave the room for a second.

8. Taking each others things

The countless amount of times I have caught my sister wearing my clothes.

9. The fight for shotgun

I've never turned into Usain Bolt faster than when I'm trying to get out the door to call shotgun.

10. Always there for you

Even though they drive you insane, siblings are the ones who will stand by you until the end.

Having siblings is like having built in forever friends. They'll call you out when needed but always be there for you at any time. We may all deal with the annoying things that they do but we still love 'em in the end.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
