Colossians 3:17 says, " And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Putting my trust in God was so scary at first, but now I can't help but run to him whenever I am experiencing troubles. I grow in my faith every day by giving thanks to God for all the blessings he continues to put in my life.

Of course, I am not a perfect Christian. Honestly, no one is a perfect Christian, but we are still loved by God. There are so many more things that I could be doing to grow spiritually. I tend to blame my lack of time as a reason to why I haven't been reading the Bible as much. I sometimes say that I am too tired and stressed out to go give back to my community. So how do I grow in my faith?

One of the best answers to how I continue to grow in my faith is by surrounding myself with people who believe in God. I truly believe that if you surround yourself with people who share the same values and beliefs, life will be so much better. These people struggle with so many things in their life, but the one thing they know is that they are loved by God. These people encourage me to seek out any answers I need from God.

I have found that listening to worship songs brings me the most peace throughout the day. When I'm on my way home from work or working on homework, I always put on a few of my favorite ones. I can almost sing all the words in the song because I believe everything that they are saying.

I recognize that I won't always be able to go to church every weekend. It gets extremely hard to put God first in college because of how many things we are surrounded with. This year and for years to come I will hold myself more accountable when it comes to going to church. I will try and bring someone with me each week so that I can show them what is special to me.

I used to be afraid to talk about my beliefs with people because I know that I don't know everything. I know that there are so many more knowledgeable people on the Bible and on how to become closer to God. However, I know that God loves me for who I am and is filled with so much joy knowing I am wanting to grow with him.

I learn something new every day. I follow so many Christians on Twitter because they are always putting out good reminders on how to live every day. I talk about hard subjects with my friends because sometimes it is okay to be angry at things are happening the way we are. At the end of the day, I know that God has a plan for me and my friends. His plans are greater than we can ever imagine.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
