Grey’s Anatomy is one of the best shows on TV and to binge watch on Netflix even though there a lot of deaths on the show (as Cristina has called it, Seattle Grace, Mercy Death). Anyways, this show has a lot of female power. These female surgeons are badass to say the least. So while these girls are normally only wearing scrubs, if they were magical Disney princesses with their hair actually done, which ones would they be?

Meredith Grey- Jasmine

Jasmine is a very strong Disney princess. She is very independent and isn’t afraid to stand up to her father or a villain. That is exactly how Meredith is. She has always stood up to her mother and stood out. She doesn’t let anyone bring her down. She is powerful and isn’t ever afraid to speak her mind and go after what she wants.

Cristina Yang- Mulan

No, it is not because they are both Asian, come on guys. Mulan is fierce, brave and the top of the class setting an example for everyone around her. Cristina Yang is one of the smartest surgeons in the hospital. She does the most insane and risky surgeries and does it with certainty. She is not one to mess with.

Callie Torres- Ariel

Ariel can’t stop herself from arguing with her dad even though she loves him to death, but she also won’t rest until she gets what she wants. Callie Torres has been through a lot, but she always fights for herself. If she wants that surgery or that girl, you better believe she is going to get what she wants. She is also compassionate and always protective of her friends as is Ariel.

Jo Wilson- Tiana

Tiana is incredibly hard working, she believes that you don’t need anyone else to do things for you. Tiana believes everything should be done through hard work. Jo has had a horrible past. She lived out of her car for years… But she worked hard and got herself through medical school and now works among some of the best surgeons.

Miranda Bailey- Elsa

Elsa is not just a princess but a queen, and that is exactly what Miranda Bailey is. Without her, that hospital would fall apart. Once she gets over her fears she is never afraid to show who he is. Just as Elsa does.

Lexie Grey- Belle

Belle reads books all of the time and is extremely smart. She is confident, strong, and doesn’t like being told what to do. Lexie has an amazing photographic memory proving to help show how wise she is. She has always fought for what she wanted. For a while she is known as Little Grey and others think she is odd compared to her sister, but she shows poise and grace throughout.

April Kepner- Anna

Anna is one of the most optimistic princesses. She is full of energy, fairly happy, and also always hopeful of the future. April was fired, and yet still came back smiling and working hard. While others may pick on her, she continues to stay happy. When her relationship gets rocky, she stays hopeful.

Addison Montgomery- Merida

Merida is brave, stubborn, and strong. She is not one in need of help, she can do it all on her own. Merida is also loud and doesn’t tend to listen to others very well. Addison was one of the best characters on Grey’s. While she was a problem for Meredith’s relationship, she was an amazing person still. She was very strong and feisty. No one is going to get in the way of what she wants.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
