If 'Grey's Anatomy' Characters Were In A Sorority

There are many different types of girls in every sorority. This is what makes the sororities so amazing. Now, just for a second imagine if the characters in "Grey's Anatomy" were actually in sororities. What type of girl would they be? Can't imagine? It's OK, I will help you out.

1. Miranda Bailey - Standards Chair

Miranda is clearly standards. The girl you love to fear and fear to love. You are always a little afraid to see her in public, but when you do she is also at the bar having a good time. However, get sent to standards and you will see her scary side. Just like Miranda, she is the girl who keeps you in check, but you know it is out of love.

2. Cristina Yang - The Busy Bee

Cristina is the busiest girl you know. She is rarely at the sorority house and you barely see her. You know she is still in the sorority (you think), but she is just so busy. Being in the sorority is just another long thing on her impressive resume. However, like Cristina, this girl knows how to have a good time as well. You can see her dancing till midnight at formal and acing her 8 a.m. midterm the next morning.

3. Alex Karev - The girl who got cut from her favorite sororities

Alex is the one who got cut from all her favorite sororities and preffed the other sorority but ended up at your sorority. She goes to bid day grumpy because she still desperately wants to be in the Greek system. Just like Alex, this girl is rude, cranky, and hard to be friends with. Eventually, something clicks and she accepts the sorority, the girls, and starts to love it. She becomes a fan favorite as she makes up for lost time being rude, just like Alex.

4. Izzie Stevens - The girl who was so into the sorority and then dropped

Izzie is the girl who was basically born to be in a sorority. Even before college, she was looking up rush stuff, learning hand signs, and getting rec letters way before they were due. During rush, she was a roller coaster full of emotions and cried on pref night. She sprinted down sorority row to her house ready have a family and eager to learn about the traditions of the sorority. However, just like Izzie, you stopped seeing her around the house and assumed she was busy until someone told you she dropped. You’re not sure why, but you will sure miss her spunk and her love for family.

5. Meredith Grey - The legacy who wishes she wasn’t a legacy

Meredith is one of two kinds of legacies. She loves her mom and grew up learning her mom’s sororities hand signs, rush songs, and basic facts about the sorority. Her mom was the president back in her day and is basically a legend. However, just like Meredith, this girl just wants to make a name for herself and not lean on her mom’s legacy. Eventually, she does make a name for herself.

6. Derek Shepherd - The President

Derek is the president of your sorority and the top dog. The perfect person to represent the sorority. This girl is charming, funny, loyal, and a great leader. You love them to death (literally in Derek’s case). They are whom you aspire to be when you get to be a senior. Just like Derek, you will cry when she leaves to go on to bigger and better things.

7. Chief Webber - The Mom

Chief Webber is the senior who already had her years on exec, but people still call her president. She is funny, kind, and will always be there to give advice. Just like Chief Webber, she parents anyone who needs it, which is why she adopted like a million littles and grandlittles into her family. She loves the sorority almost too much, and you are not sure when she is going to leave.

8. Callie Torres - The Party Animal

Callie is the girl who is always in standards. She loves to party and she does not care to follow the rules. However, just like Callie, she is also chill and smart. This girl helps come up with the best themes and socials. She is truly a wild child and we love her for it.

9. Mark Sloan - The Shacker

Mark is the sorority shacker. She owns every fraternity shirt, and you constantly see her at the frats. She knows she’s a shacker, and she admits it with pride. However, just like Mark, you can’t help but find her classy and not trashy. She is gorgeous, funny, and as much as she loves the frats, she loves her sorority and her sisters just as much.

10. Lexie Grey - The Wannabe Older Girl

Lexie is the freshman who acts older than she actually is. All the older girls know her, love her, and treat her like she is not a pledge. The other freshmen are not sure what is the big deal about her and find it unfair at first. Just like Lexie, this girl eventually finds her place and everyone adores her. She will probably be the pledge educator when she gets older.

11. Jackson Avery - The legacy that owns being a legacy

Jackson is the other type of legacy. Just like the other legacy (AKA Meredith) this girl grew up learning sorority songs and hand signs. She knew her mom would die if they didn’t become sisters. This girl already had shirts and was waiting until she officially got into the sorority to wear them. Just like Jackson, this girl used her name to get into her sorority and used it to climb the social ladder. However, you can’t help but love them because of their passion for their family and sorority.

12. April Kepner - The Overachiever

April is the girl everyone hates in the beginning. She is an overachiever and was the girl who raised her hand at every pledge meeting. She came into the sorority with big dreams hoping to change the sorority for the better. Eventually, just like April, she cools down and everyone sees how awesome she is. However, she still is and always will be the overachiever, the suck up, the girl who raises her hand, and the girl who constantly tries to change things, but hey, it’s her personality.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
