You will never regret it.

Why Greek Life Is The Best Life

Joining Greek life is the best decision a person can make. When a person joins Greek life, they get the opportunity to create several unbreakable bonds. Not only will they do anything for you, but they teach you so many life lessons.

When you are having an airhead moment and lock your keys in your car, someone in Greek life is bound to have AAA and can come to your rescue. All you have to do is make one quick call and someone will come over to your house and wait for an hour and a half with you on a Tuesday night.

When you are hungry, all you have to do is send out a quick text or a GroupMe message and you will never have to eat alone ever again. You are also never alone when it comes to school work. Chances are that someone else in Greek life has your same major and has taken the same classes that you are taking. By having Greek life friends who have experience with different courses and professors, they are able to help you with your own classes.

If you were an only child in your family, Greek life gives you the opportunity to create so many new sisterhood and brotherhood bonds. Even if you are a girl, you get to gain so many brothers in addition to all of your sisters in your sorority and vice versa.

Greek life people are always there to support each other no matter what. If you are going through hard times, greek life will always be there to have your back. It doesn't matter what fraternity or sorority you are in, they will be there for you.

Greek life creates the atmosphere of a home away from home. The people you meet from joining a sorority or fraternity will become your new family. When you get married, all of the people that you had grown close to in Greek life will be there. Members always have each other’s back through thick and thin and just want the best for each other.

A person in Greek life creates resumé builders every day. People in Greek life do many philanthropy projects that help the community. It also helps your resumé because you become a better person by learning how to deal with lots of people and how to help them in any situation.

Greek life is rather traditional. People who were in your organization in 1895 or 1912 performed all of the same rituals that you do and hold so close to your heart today. Traditions are big in Greek life and highly respected, which also teaches you respect for your elders and others in general.

It is absolutely impossible to be bored in Greek life. There is always something going on whether it is a study group or a philanthropy project. Although everyone is already great when they join a Greek life organization, it challenges you to become an even better version of yourself that you never knew existed. It will transform you into such a great person that is responsible, organized, thoughtful, caring, giving, and understanding.

People may assume that Greek life is all partying…it is not. Being a part of an organization like this does not mean that you are not paying for your friends, although that is what most people believe. It has changed people's lives and even brings people out of their shell. Greek life might get a bad rep from movies and TV shows, but it is not at all like how the media portrays.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
