I think summer 2018 may be one of the best summers for going to the movies in recent years. We all know that Avengers: Infinity War has already dropped, and of course smashed basically every box office record, so we are already off to a good start this summer. If you haven't seen Infinity War yet, then you should make plans to do so, but be warned, you need to see the other Marvel movies to understand everything that happens. So what movies that have yet to be released can we look forward to?
May 18th - "Deadpool 2"
Deadpool, known as the Merc with a Mouth, took the world by storm in his first major movie. The action-packed comedy comes with fourth wall breaks, knee-slapping comedy, and great fight scenes. Hopefully, it is just as good, if not better than the first. I will be seeing it.
May 25th - "Solo"
A Star Wars story. I can't wait for this one. Any fan of Star Wars shouldn't be able to wait for this one. A Star Wars movie that covers the backstory of one of the most beloved characters in the franchise by telling the story of some crazy galactic heist? And young Lando Calrissian is played by Donald Glover? Sign me the hell up!
June 15th - "Incredibles 2"
We have been waiting for this superhero family to return for too damn long, and if you think I'm going to be pushing little kids out of the way in the theater to get a good seat, then you are absolutely right.
June 22nd - "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom"
I can't lie, I'm not as excited about this one as I am for the other three, but I know a lot of people will be going to see it. I will probably have to go check it out myself too because the first Jurassic World was pretty good. I just don't know what they are going to do with this one.
July 6th - "Sorry To Bother You"
A film about a black man who adopts a white man's voice to further his career in telemarketing. Should be pretty darn funny.
July 6th - "Ant-Man and Wasp"
The sequel to the first Ant-Man, this one promises to be another great Marvel superhero movie. Anything Marvel superhero related and I am in.
July 13th - "Skyscraper"
Don't know if it is going to be any good or not, but hey, it has the Rock in it.
July 26th - "Mission Impossible: Fallout."
Just thought I would add this one in for all the big action and Mission Impossible fans out there. I'm not interested but this movie should still bring in some good ticket sales.
And there you have it, my list of movies to see this summer. I know I may have left out a few (I'm kind of a wuss, so I hate scary movies and did not include a single one on this list), but these alone are the reason why my bank account is going to be empty come August. I might see the Han Solo movie five times at least.
