She's not very well-known (I had never heard of her until "Incredibles 2" came out- where I fell in love with both her character and her voice), but she is a great actress, activist, and speaker who also has a bit of sass!

"I think the sexiest thing on anybody is intelligence. I respect anybody who has a brain and wants to use it more than a pretty face and status."

"I have walked away from friendships when I've realized that someone smiles to someone's face and talks about them the minute they walk out of a room. I have no room in my life for that kind of negative energy anymore."

"Life is too short, and I'm Italian. I'd much rather eat pasta and drink wine than be a size 0."

"Marriage is not about age; it's about finding the right person."

"Your body tells you what it needs, and if you sleep past your alarm on a Saturday morning, it's probably because you need the sleep."

"People just deserve to be treated with kindness."

"The only two men I have time for are Barack Obama and my trainer."

"I believe people are inherently magical and good."

"I believe all men, all women, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic background, you deserve the same rights."

"I'd rather hang out with five people that I love than with 400 strangers at a club who are all doing the up-and-down inspection thing. They appraise everybody from head to toe- the outfit, the handbag, the shoes, how much they weigh... I can't stand it!"

"Me, I'd prefer to have a good reputation rather than getting press for being scandalous, getting drunk in public, staying out late and so on."

"Life throws some curve balls at you and you go where it takes you."

"I will not vote for a candidate who thinks you can 'pray away the gay;' I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that he has more rights to my uterus than I do; I will not vote for a candidate who thinks that it's okay to dump toxic waste in the ocean."

"I've always wanted to fight for people who didn't have arms. I've always wanted to speak up for people who don't have a voice. I've always wanted to protect people who couldn't protect themselves. It's my nature. It's my instinct."

"Of course, everybody makes mistakes, and we've all been young and stupid. But people need to have a sense of respect, particularly in this business, because hundreds of people are ready to take your place at any time. Maybe some people should think about that."

"Getting wasted is only OK when you're young enough to know better."

The former "Chicago P.D." star is quite an active girl, who is not as known as she should be. I hope to see her in more stuff. She is an activist, an actress, and quite an inspirational speaker (as shown at Together Live Events- where inspiring women such as herself share their stories).

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
