Recently, June 9, has come to pass. This is also known as Bill and Ted day. Who are Bill and Ted? Bill and Ted are the most excellent forefathers of our future society.

Bill S. Preston Esq. and “Ted” Theodore Logan are the two Great Ones who embarked on a most excellent adventure in order to ensure that their message makes it to the world.

Now Bill and Ted, they’re not the wisest of people you would meet, but after an adventure through the very fabric of time, they are much wiser.

They’ve met with the most historical dudes, Billy the Kid, So-crates, Sigmund Freud, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Joan of Arc, Genghis Khan, Napoleon Bonaparte, and even the totally excellent Abraham Lincoln. Together they realized the ultimate message.

They met the totally triumphant Rufus, and the bodacious, historical babes.

Through their most historical journey the two were enlightened with greatness, they came to the conclusion of

“Be excellent to each other, and party on dudes!”

This turns out to be the basis of society in the future.

They journeyed into the afterlife went to hell, Oates Military Academy met Grandma Preston, and even the Easter Bunny. They escaped hell by besting Death, and made their way to heaven to speak to God and to find the smartest creatures in the universe.

These creatures are so smart they have one word in their entire language. “Station.” Station can be used to mean anything the speaker wishes, and the enlightened listeners will understand the true meaning of “station.”

After travelling through time, and after this cosmic and spiritual journey through heaven and hell. The two Great Ones realized that- “The best place to be, is here, and the best time to be, is now.”

I cannot think of any greater wisdom. It is through the music of the band Wyld Stalliyns- consisting of the two Great Ones and the two historical babes that universal harmony is achieved.

This is no dream that these two dudes speak of, for this is all real. All that is required is that everyone realize the wisdom of these two dudes.

The two dudes who just wanted to get an A+ on their history report so they could keep their band together.

Their message will spread like wildfire, making the world the greatest place. It is in the future, that Bill and Ted University will be founded. There, everyone will learn of excellence.

We are not yet there, not yet privy to the wisdom of the two Great Ones. But in time, we will be. Instead of hating and fearing one another, we will learn to love one another.

We will help others live out their truly excellent dreams, dancing onward towards our incredibly stellar future. It might just be a dream, but it starts with you. It starts with your soul, and your mind. If you have question, visit http://www.billandted.org/ and the answers shall be revealed.

We can break free from the spiral of suffering in which we have so long suffered from. We have almost made it. We are not far. Just remember:

“The best place to be, is here, and the best time to be, is now. Be excellent to each other, and party on dudes! Station!"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
