A Thank You To My Grandparents
Mackenzie Webb

Dear Grandma and Grandpa,

To the people who taught my parents the many important lessons which are now passed onto me, thank you. Thank you for being that example and for showing how to love someone deeply and with your whole heart. Thank you for being the sweetest blessing a grandchild could ask for. Thank you for always knowing how to make us crack a smile, and thank you for always giving a big squeezey hug.

Although I may not get to see you everyday or talk to you everyday I know you're one of those people that will forever be there in support of me no matter what. Unlike my parents it's not necessarily your job to "parent" me if you will, but to just show me as much love and support possible, which for you is very easy to do and is very well done.

Thank you for all of the support you have shown to not only me, but all the grandchildren. You have always made an effort to come visit us and see us in our prime, whether that is cheering at a football game, or playing in the football game itself. Even though it may seem small, it still means the world that you were able to care enough to come see what we do.

Thank you for all the small or big life lessons taught, and the stories shared. From funny stories, to stories of hard times had, each one has a deep meaning to you and I am glad that you have shared those memories with me, and I get to have some experience with it. Although some people may complain of how they dread talking to their family at holiday functions, I enjoy it because I know not only will I gain conversation with you, but I will most likely walk away with some lessons for life which I didn't know before.

Thank you for never failing to always have a smile on your face no matter how tough the situation is. You managed to keep a positive attitude about everything thrown your way, and I very much admire that. It is one of my favorite qualities in which you display so please do not lose that smile with anything you do.

Lastly, I wanted to remind you how much I am thankful for both of you, and how much I love you. You both mean the world to me and I am ever so grateful to have you a part of my life. Remember that you're always appreciated and always missed so don't be afraid to come visit.

Love,

Mackenzie

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
