If you know me, and you just read that headline written by me, you're probably thinking, Who are you??
I am a changed woman, friends.
But in all seriousness, I used to be so caught up in my grades. In a simple number. I used to believe--firmly, might I add--that this tiny number defined who I was and how much I was worth.
So much so, that I spent so many nights crying and breaking down when my grades weren't perfect. I believed this little number was the only thing carving my path to success. I missed out on time with friends and family, missed out on life-changing experiences, and overall enjoyment and fun, and for what? For a measly grade?
I'm so glad I've learned that grades are so not important.
Don't get me wrong: I'm not advocating to quit school or aim for Fs. But, if you don't get an A, who cares? As long as you're doing the best you can do, that's all that matters.
Don't let a tiny number control your entire life. Say yes to spending time with friends and family--you can always finish homework later. Say yes to travel and to love and in-the-moment, spontaneous experiences--you know, the time you'll never get back and never experience again.
Remember to live life fully because you only have on chance--don't let an insignificant number stop you from living your best life.
Trust me when I say this: life works itself out. Life does not care if you've gotten a couple of Bs and Cs before--all it needs is for you to live it, and to live it to the best of your abilities.
