Give Up On iPhones And Get The Google Pixel 2, ASAP

BREAKING NEWS! I have just bought a Google Pixel 2 after years of owning only iPhones and I could not be happier.

This iPhone to Android switch is a success story, unlike many I've heard. I begrudgingly switched to an Android because my iPhone 6 would run out of storage all the time when I had no photos and only necessary apps on there, could not hold a charge for even half of a day, and was slower than the original 1980s Apple computer. The Google Pixel 2 has so much storage, has a battery life that lasts longer than a day, is super fast, and has other amazing features that beat out my old iPhones by a landslide!

One of my favorite features of the Pixel 2 is the Bokeh effect on the camera. (For those of you who don't know, the Bokeh effect is when a picture's background is blurred and out of focus in an aesthetic style). This is really awesome for all of you who post cool artsy pictures on Instagram. You don't need a professional camera to make this effect happen; all you need is the Pixel 2! Plus, this effect is available on the front-facing and back-facing camera, which means your selfies can be even more on point!

Another cool feature of the Pixel is the Google Lens. This is great to find out more about the world around you. All you have to do is open your camera app, point the camera at what you're interested in learning more about (such as a historical building) and then the Google Lens will recognize it and give you instant information about it. Who needs a tour guide when you've got this?!

The Google Pixel 2 (and all other Google phones) also has UNLIMITED free Google storage. That means you can take unlimited pictures, write all of your English papers in Google Docs, and make thousands of spreadsheets for your Organic Chemistry lab in Google Sheets. My school uses Google for its email, so having the Pixel 2 makes it even easier to check emails and even do homework on my phone. I like free things and I like an unlimited supply of free things, so the unlimited Google storage is definitely for me!

My past iPhones are nothing compared to this phone. I would have killed to get unlimited storage on my other phones and now I have it for free! Compared to my iPhones, the Pixel is much faster, has a brighter and sharper screen, takes AMAZING pictures, and has a larger display size. To anyone looking to upgrade their phone, I 100% recommend that you buy a Google Pixel 2!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
