It's April, which means that warmer weather is ahead. It's also formal season. It's time to look forward to going to the pool after classes, and most importantly, the end of the semester rapidly approaching. However, with May close by, it means that finals are also right around the corner.
At this point of the semester, everybody is done and completely tired. You try to do everything you possibly can to raise your grades before finals, even if it means spending half of your life in the library. You work really hard on that paper, but then you get it back and it doesn't have the grade that you were hoping for. You just feel defeated and start to think badly about yourself.
I'm here to tell you that you are enough. Your grades do not define the person that you are. When you feel like you want to give up, just keep trying because you can do it—you are amazing. When you are in the library feeling like you just can't do this anymore, know that you have so many people in your life that are supporting you no matter what grade you receive on that English paper.
You are good enough because you have something that is 100 percent unique about you. Whether it is your killer smile or the way you can do math in your head. You are good enough because you were put on this planet for a reason, to do something great even though you don't know what it is at the moment.
When you're feeling like you aren't good enough, know that you are. Everyone messes up because we are all human. It is the mistakes that we make that make us the person that we are. You are always good enough to try, and at the end of the day the fact that you tried is what is truly important. Know that yesterday's impossibilities can be today's possibilities. Just because you have had a few rough days doesn't mean that they are all going to seem impossible.
So as you go through finals week or even just a tough day, know three things: You are smart enough, you are loved by many, and you are good enough.
