Dear Summer,
Oh how we students enjoy you. We can relax, binge watch all our favorite shows on Netflix, go on vacations and pretty much forget all about school. That is until the dreaded month of August when back to school commercials are running rampant and we start getting emails about our school payments. It just hits you; one day you're lounging by the pool, marg in hand, when you realize just how fast school is approaching. I, for one, am not quite ready to give up doing nothing. Summer, why can't you last longer? I know many a student who would appreciate that. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, including you. So I want to thank you for the following things before we part ways until next year:
- Making the sunset a little later and the sunrise a little earlier.
- Allowing us to read for pleasure rather than read a textbook.
- New movies on Fridays.
- Letting us acquire a nice tan.
- Naps. Need I say more?
- Spontaneous adventures.
- On the flip side of that, days where we do absolutely nothing.
- Giving us three whole months to prepare for our future littles.
- Going home and spending time with your family.
- Sno-cones, ice cream and Popsicles.
It certainly was a good summer. Now, let's all get ready for pumpkin spice flavored everything, football season, and the changing of the leaves.
