Spoilers ahead if you haven't watched 'How I Met Your Mother.'
November 13, 2017. The day the wonderful show 'How I Met Your Mother' was taken off Netflix. Some may say this is a good thing because they feel like it wasn't a good show or because they think it's a rip-off of 'Friends' or because of the maddening, down-right outrageous end. But it'll always have a special place in my heart because the characters and their triumphs and sorrows became so familiar over numerous viewings that it almost felt like family. HIMYM, although similar in concept to 'Friends,' was unique: it had its own jokes, it had a (mostly) well-thought-out plot line, it had symbolism and small clues, and it was ridiculous and real at the same time, which made me love it and keep going back for more. So, I am going to miss this show a lot. Of course, there are other ways to watch it, but who wants to go through all that?
So, let's take a moment and reminisce. Feel free to play 'I Will Remember You' by Sarah MchLachlan in the background.
Thank you, HIMYM, for making your time on Netflix so legen - wait for it - dary.
