With cuffing season in session, many are jumping at the chance to go on cute dates without thinking about what they want to talk about. This leads to long moments of silence and very rarely a second date. It's normal to be nervous, but it helps to be prepared with a few ideas!

What’s your opinion on “____”?

Christopher Flowers

Don’t get controversial. Just ask something fun, like their opinion of pineapple on pizza, or if ketchup goes on top or beside the fries. (The answer is absolutely beside, if they say “on top” run away from them as fast as you can).

Are you more of a night owl or early bird?

Sam

You’ll know if you vibe or not based on when they’re most active.

What hobby are you most interested in trying?

Rebecca Grant

This says a lot about someone and their genuine interests, not just what they have time/resources for.

What are your top 3 favorite songs right now?

Malts Wingen

This is pretty random, but really helps get to know someone’s style in music.

What’s something I wouldn’t guess about you?

Priscilla Dupreez

This can be a fun ice breaker. It’s a tad flirty and a bit mischievous as well.

What would an ideal day be like for you?

Sorin Sîrbu

Without work or responsibility, what would they be up to?

What’s your favorite animal? Do you feel it represents you in some way?

Smit Patel

Are they a gentle deer or a conniving snake?

Is there a chore you don’t mind doing?

The Honest Company

Again a bit random, but it’s fun to hear how someone feels about housework.

What is your favorite season and why?

Chris Lawton

Everyone has a favorite season, and for different reasons.

What’s the weirdest fact about yourself?

Toa Heftiba

I like this one a lot because it helps someone open up a bit more and feel free to be their honest self around you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
