So if you are like me you are in love with the Golden Girls—it’s a borderline obsession. You count these women as some of your best friends. When people ask you about your plans, you say you are hanging with Sophia, Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose! Complete season DVD set? Check. An episode you have never seen? LOL Impossible.

Reason 1: Each one of them brings something dynamic to the group. Sophia supplies the killer sass and amazing advice. Dorothy is the epitome of an intelligent independent woman. Rose shows love and kindness, and let’s be honest who would not love to have a dose of Blanche’s confidence and southern charm.

Reason 2: Cheesecake anyone? These ladies are always down to eat which makes us love them even more. The time it takes to finish a cheesecake is just enough time to solve whatever problem the ladies are facing

Reason 3: Sisters before misters. The ladies have some serious dating game with Blanche leading the pack. However, they never let a man come between them—a fundamental principle in the definition of a squad.

Reason 4: Vacation? Yes! As if living in sunny Miami spending days sunning out on the lanai is not enough, Blanche, Dorothy, Sophia, and Rose are always down for a weekend cruise or getaway to the Bahamas or a trip to see Burt Reynolds in concert.

Reason 5: They keep it 100% with each other. They do not sugar coat anything. If Blanche is looking rather risqué, Sophia will be the first one to call her a slut puppy. Dorothy’s ex-husband shows up, he hears it from each and every one of them. Whether it is providing a shoulder to cry on or providing some tough love, these ladies are honest, genuine, and caring towards each other.
