Just like the next girl, I love the bachelor. I mean LOVE it.

Somehow following 20 girls fall in love with the man of their dreams creates so much entertainment. The drama, the tears, the fights—I love it.

Pretty much, the show is just a bunch of women trying to self-satisfy their desires for a man in their life. The women fight for the bachelor’s attention in whatever way they can. They flirt, they gossip, they throw themselves onto the boy of their dreams. And at the end of the week if you fail to draw in the Bachelor’s attention, you don’t receive a rose. You are sent home in tears, wallowing in your sadness. No matter how hard you fought, the boy of your dreams just didn’t ‘love’ you.

So what if I was to tell you that you, yourself, receives a rose from God every day?

Unlike the bachelor, we do not have to throw ourselves onto God. We do not need to be pretty, we do not need to wear the fanciest dresses, and we do not need to spend the most money for God to love us.

God loves us no matter what we do because He made us just as He wanted us to be.

Each day God is calling out to us saying you are chosen.

1 Peter 2:9 writes,

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Isn’t that incredible?

We are God’s greatest possession, and yet we did nothing to deserve it.

In God's name there is no competition. There is no fighting for His rose, because He gives them to each one of us. Never will we be left wallowing in sadness because of God's name. We can fall head over heels into God's arm's and never feel hurt, neglected, or turned away from unlike how the women on the Bachelor commonly do.

So next time you sit down to watch the Bachelor, next time you feel ugly, next time you doubt your presence, think about the rose God gives you each day.

Will you accept it?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
