Walk me down the aisle
With flowers in my hands.
Give me away.
Put on my best dress.
Give me a final dance.
The soft piano sings
And there's the tears.
Tissue paper thin
Perfumed incense.
My eyes close as you
Lay me down sideways.
I'm soft, made up skin.
You give me something
Borrowed and you've blued.
But instead of white
You all wear black
While I'm closed off
They throw the rice--
No sand and dirt.
I choke in dust.
That day I never unsee
The way weddings
Look just like a funeral.
