When the holidays come around, your family starts asking the same question everywhere you go..."So when are you going to get a boyfriend?"

Growing up I have witnessed people who love each other and they are too afraid to move onto something more and I have also seen two people who are together but do not act as if they love each other. Sometimes I wish I could have lived in the years of 1980's, where adventurous road trips, being asked on dates by a guy, and also getting "daddy's permission" was an actual thing before I could ever leave the house.

To the girl waiting for an actual fairy tale, do not give up. Do not be afraid to wait for the guy who holds the door open for you without asking him, sends you flowers just because, compliments you when you are all dolled up and also when you are in sweatpants and a t-shirt, and for the one who will actually make plans with you instead of the typical "Netflix and chill." There are still guys out there that would love to do these things for you, just be patient.

It is okay to be picky about the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with. Someone who spoils you by doing the littlest things is the person you want to see every day for the rest of your life. Wait for the man who does not give you butterflies because you should be comfortable around him, not nervous around him. Find the guy who makes you smile like a little kid opening up their first present on Christmas because you deserve to be treated like a princess with a smile on your face all of the time.

Always pick the person who sings at the top of their lungs in the car just to see you smile, makes you smile really big as soon as you see their name pop up on your phone, and someone who will dance with you in the rain at any time of the day. The typical fairy tale does not come by being the most gorgeous girl, it comes by being kind and patiently waiting for the one to fill the shoes of being your prince.

Sometimes the person that you would like to notice you is wishing you could make the first move to them, so they don't come off as the guy that usually tries picking up a girl by a corny pickup line. It is okay to keep waiting for "Mr. Right" because no one wants to end up with the wrong person as you are already saved for someone special in your life.

Love,

The girl who is patiently waiting for the right one

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
