Growing up, I have had such an amazing group of girls that make coming home from college so exciting. We have grown up together, embraced every awkward stage, cried, laughed, and just about everything in between. We have been every single Halloween costume in the book, had countless sleepovers and truly been a part of each other's families.
I haven't had to ask to get chocolate milk from any of your fridges in years, nor do I plan on it any time soon. There is not a single thing I wouldn't do for you gals, as we say "GBH"; "Girls back home."
Throughout high school, I took for granted how thankful I am for these girls. Each girl adding something so special to my life and knowing me better than I even know myself. I never realized how much I would miss the little things from asking your friend to get you a coffee before school to religiously watching the Bachelor with tour girls, pleading that the loud one (usually me) remain quiet so we can hear each and every individual rose to get called.
We would just hang out, most of the time we wouldn't be talking but the comfort of being with these girls was everything I ever needed.
You have seen me at my best and my worst, been there for me through each step of my life, seeing me almost every day of my life until I was 19 years old and jumped in the car to go to Syracuse University. Now as I look on Find my friends, I see each and every one of us in a place, all far away from one another, some in Virginia, even as far as California.
I hope you find girls that love you as much as I do. I hope you are taken care of and belly laugh about almost everything. I hope you find a crew to watch the Bachelor with, and eat too much raw cookies dough. I hope you become exactly who you want to be and accomplish all your dreams.
As we all move on to meet have another girl group, I will always be thankful for you girls that made me "me." I will cherish the times we have had and look forward to the times in our future. I look forward to raising my kids alongside you all, having so many aunties!! Until then, I will continue to hold you all so close to my heart.
