Dear girl walking into class with a Starbucks cup for the 16th time this semester,

How self absorbed can you be? We get it, you clearly don't care about this class. That's fine. But please stop distracting everyone else when you walk into class late.

Let's be clear, I'm not talking about a minute or two late. I'm not talking about being late once or twice. I'm not even talking about the kid walking into class 10 minutes late with a Starbucks cup for the first time.

I'm talking about the girl who continually prances into class 10+ minutes late holding her caramel, mocha, chocolate latte frappe-whatever for the umpteenth time this semester.

Being late happens, but when it is an everyday occurrence because of something unnecessary and avoidable, there is a problem. You know the Starbucks line is going to be out the door, leave earlier. If you know you're bad in the mornings, set your alarm earlier.

There is no need to disrupt everyone else's class time because of your selfishness and carelessness.

If you don't care about this class, which you clearly don't, simply don't come. It's not that big of a deal. If attendance is mandatory, then you should be making an effort to get there at the beginning of anyway.

I get the need for caffeine. That I-can't-start-my-day-without-my-favorite-pick-me-up. I can't start my day without a Chick-fil-A biscuit. But I plan for that. I allow time in case Chick-fil-A is packed or if there's a hold up. I do this so if I am held up, I'm not walking into class late.

No one has a good reason for showing up late 10+ times to class with a Starbucks cup in their hands. It doesn't make you look good and shows how you seriously lack maturity. Please, get it together.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
