You can and you will.

You meet a boy, you fall in love, the boy starts to ignore you, things start to go bad, you break up, you get back together, all you do is fight, and he knows he has some type of control of you. To the girl that think she can't live without that boy, I'm here to tell you that you can. You can live without the stupid boy that yells at you and tears you down. You can live without the boy that makes you hate yourself more, the one that makes your bad habits come about, the one you feel as if you can't get away from, you can.

You will go through a bit of heartbreak, I will not deny that. It will hurt and there will be many nights you stay up crying wondering where it all went wrong and why did it have to happen to you. But, you will get over it with time. I know that is not what you want to hear, you want it to go away right now, but that's not how heartbreak works. Chances are the boy you'll be torn up over will move on within the next day or so, he will start with a new girl and you will feel betrayed. You will wonder why you weren't good enough and why you don't deserve to be loved. That is not the case.

You deserve to be loved, you deserve someone that will jump rivers and oceans for you, not someone that won't even walk over a puddle. You will get through the heartbreak, you will feel better. You will be better and bigger than he will ever be. He does this for the fun and thrill of it, just to get enjoyment out of breaking girls hearts and making them think that they will never be good enough. He thinks it's all a game. You will be stronger than that.

You are stronger than you think, you can get over him and away from him. Do not let him stop you from doing the things that you love, do not let him take away your dignity, do not let him take away your love, do not give in when he comes back for the second, fourth, tenth time he tries. Let him go and while you're at it let him know how it made you feel, let him know how terrible it felt to be with him. Make a change for yourself, even if it's a small one. Start going to the gym, hanging out with friends more, do something to make yourself feel better. Don't sit around and make yourself feel worse because I promise you can live without him.

From the girl who once thought she couldn't.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
