If you have always wondered what 'girl code' was, this is for you. If you're a girl and interested in some girl tips PLUS a blunt side note about each girl tip that I've collected from girls all over Murfreesboro, TN, this is for you, too.

If you're a guy and your girlfriend NEVER let you know what the 'girl code' tips were, well, this can be for you also. Dig in.

1. "Don't use "I'm too busy." as an excuse."

In other words, cut the crap girl. You just don't want to make the time.

2. "ALWAYS be honest about your friend's outfit."

In other words, us girls can't let our friends walk around looking crazy, no way!

3. "Never exclude each other."

In other words, your friends like to be "in the know", even if you know they can't join still invite them or let them know what is going on!

4. "Set a specific date to have a girls day/night when all the girls can meet and do that once/twice a month."

In other words, no matter what is going on in life, always make girlfriend time. WE NEED EACH OTHER!

5. "Never judge your girlfriends. Let them make their decisions, good or bad, and just be there to congratulate or support them with their wins and support them and comfort them if it's a loss."

In other words, girls, we gotta hold each other up! GIRL POWER.

6.- "Be a friend that reciprocates. Don't leave your girlfriend hanging when she doesn't leave you hanging."

In other words, we gotta treat others how we want to be treated. Don't be flaky!

7. "Be that friend that is consistent. The one friend they know will always be there and always check/ call them just to see whats been going on in their life."

In other words, yes, life gets crazy and sometimes we forget who has been there from the start. So, take a second and show them you care!

8. "Never date your friends' exes."

In other words, oh I don't know about you but, I don't want to have dinner with my girlfriends and still have to see my ex. C'mon, ladies.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
