If you're a fan of "Gilmore Girls," you can always count on Lorelai and Rory to remind you that being a girl is a beautiful thing. They pick you up when your down, and prove that life isn't always easy, but that's OK. Below lies a scratch-the-surface list of all the reasons you can deeply relate to the Gilmore girls and why you consider yourself blessed that this is true.

1. The… whole coffee thing.

The Gilmore girls were overloading on caffeine on a daily basis before it was cool. So naturally, of my fellow hardcore coffee drinkers can relate to the Gilmore girls on an all-too-personal level every time they speak of coffee as if it's, well, the marvelous thing that is coffee. It might seem that they're constantly drinking it at inopportune times, like at breakfast, lunch and dinner, instead of lunch and dinner, at night, in the middle of the night when they can't sleep, and every moment in between, but that's normal. Come to think of it, I've never actually seen them drink water…

2. They always remain true to their individuality.

Rory and Lorelai Gilmore are the queens of individuality. While watching them on-screen, it's easy to feel your own individuality reinforced, as they let theirs shine without hesitance. The Gilmore girls are quirky in the best ways, and although not everyone understands them, they understand each other, and because that's enough for them, it's enough for us.

3.  They can rock that food-mood better than the rest of us.

I'm sure that all of us wish we were blessed with the metabolism of a Gilmore. Even though we all wish we could eat like Lorelai and Rory all the time without consequence, their passion for kicking back captures the inner child we all still channel from time to time. They remind us that, sometimes, there's nothing better than having a movie night and ordering both pizzas, because you and your best friend deserve it.

4. They know what it’s like to love and have their hearts broken, but they don’t give up.

Although the Gilmore girls have a seemingly effortless life in Stars Hollow being surrounded by loved ones and friends, they aren't exempt from the harsh realities of life, and this includes being hurt by people they love. As the Gilmore girls experience love, along with the good and the bad that comes with it, they learn that sometimes all you can do with a broken heart is feel it until it's ready to be put together again.

5. They aren't shy to mistakes.

The lives of the Gilmore girls are definitely not ones void of mistakes, though they always see the bigger picture when it comes to learning from them. They show us that it's more than OK to make mistakes and that mistakes have the power to make you a better person.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
