Every year college students are asked what they want for Christmas, and every year, if you're like me, you never know what to say. So in an attempt to provide an answer, you blurt out the first thing that comes to mind, usually something you don't really want. No matter if you are a first-time student away from home, or you have reached levels of super senior credits, everyone has at least wanted one of these presents since the day they left home.

1. Sweaters, sweaters, and more sweaters!

The best feeling in the world is rolling out of bed on a cold day and sliding on the fifth sweater you have worn that week. The more sweaters, the less laundry you have to do.

2. Quarters to wash those sweaters

But unfortunately, you will eventually have to do laundry and quarters do not always last long in a college campus laundry room.

3. Money and gift cards to buy textbooks

Christmas is the best time to start saving for the upcoming semester's new round of ridiculously expensive textbooks, so anything to help with that is always greatly appreciated.

4. Their tuitions and student loans paid for

Hey, it is always worth a try to just ask. You never know.

5. Care packages!

Everyone loves getting packages, especially from close friends and family from back home. Even more when those packages are filled with pictures, snacks, fuzzy socks, and an abundance of all your favorite goodies.

6. Gift cards to the spa

Picture it. Right after finals, and you get to spend the entire day at the spa. Massages, fresh nails, hair done... Treat yourself after all those months of studying and test taking.

7. Leggings

Just like the sweaters, not everyone likes to get up and put on jeans every morning.

8. Pictures to hang in their rooms, specifically of the family pet

What's better than waking up every morning and seeing the face of your favorite dog that lives too many miles away?

9. The Netflix password from home

After one year in college without Netflix and then having access to it my second year, I can truthfully say I am much happier.

10. Gift cards to restaurants around their college towns

The dining hall is not the greatest option for food every day, so start saving all of those Subway gift cards.

11. Rent money

This is the most realistic item every college student wants to put on their Christmas list but will never admit out loud.

12. Apartment appliances

Once dorm life is over, the next step is apartment life, and there is nothing more relaxing than having all of your appliances already packed and ready to go without having to spend that new rent money.

No matter what is on your Christmas list this year, enjoy the people you are with and enjoy the holiday season.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
