Presents have always been and will always be one of the big stressors around the holiday season. I mean how are you supposed to know what everyone wants without them specifically saying so and you do not want them doing that because then it isn't a surprise anymore.

Anyway, since the holidays are right around the corner, I know a lot of you are probably stressing about what to get everyone, especially those people that you know pretty well but at the same time don't actually know what they want and you don't want to just hand them money or a gift card (even though if we are being honest that's really what all of us college students and maybe even adults want nowadays).

I thought I would try and help some of you out. So, here are some cool ideas that you can give to almost anyone and everyone.

  1. A really cool wine class that fits their personality or a funny shot glass
  2. A Shutterfly booklet of all your memories together
  3. A favorite book of yours, so you can have someone to talk about it with
  4. An electric blanket or any kind of fuzzy blanket
  5. A t-shirt from a place you guys have been together
  6. A movie that you loved and want to watch with them
  7. A cute container with all of their favorite snacks and cheat foods
  8. A batch of holiday cookies you made yourself with a card
  9. A candle of a holiday scent that gives you that warm fuzzy feeling
  10. A pair of cute fuzzy socks or socks that say something they would love on them
  11. A bottle of perfume or cologne you think they would wear
  12. A cozy hat or warm gloves
  13. A Polaroid camera and film to document their holiday break with
  14. A pair of tickets to see a concert or show together
  15. Ingredients and a recipe of your favorite dish and offer to help them make it
  16. A pair of slippers (I know this might sound weird, but I got a pair for my boyfriend last Christmas and to this date, it is his favorite thing I have ever gotten him)
  17. A poster of their favorite sports player or stickers from redbubble for their computer
  18. A bottle of their favorite alcohol
  19. A container of candy canes and hot chocolate mix
  20. A puzzle of their favorite place or a cool scene
  21. A coffee mug that just screams their personality
  22. A picture frame with a picture of both of you inside
  23. A Swell bottle with a really cool design on it, or no design at all and have people write their names or compliments on it
  24. A gingerbread house kit with lots of sprinkles and icing
  25. A puppy (I had to do it, I mean who does not want a puppy?)

I hope this helped spark some ideas for all of you or at least some of you and I wish you the very best holiday season filled with lots of cookies, love, and of course presents.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
