GHS Class of 2017,

We made it!

First of all, I just wanted to say congratulations to each and every one of you for our recent accomplishment of graduating high school. I am so proud of all of you and how we pushed ourselves to the very end. We managed to finish strong, and all of us ended up with our diplomas no matter the amount of metals and pins displayed on your gowns. Throughout the years we have gone to school together, I have had the pleasure of getting to know you guys and I am sad to see it come to a very bittersweet end.

I just wanted to thank you all.

Thank you for just being there (although you had no choice), and being kind, and pushing one another to finish strong. Although we've had our ups and downs as a class, I know you will all be successful as we enter the next chapter of our lives. I can not wait to see where we will end up as we come together at our reunions, rekindling with people we have not talked to in years and seeing how successful they have become. My high school experience was mostly a positive one thanks to you guys. I would not trade the world for this class and my high school experience because of you all.

Towards the end of our journey together I feel as if we came together more than ever before and I found myself talking and getting to know people I have unfortunately never had the pleasure of talking to. I am so lucky to have been apart of such a good group of people and have had the opportunity to spend these many years going to school with them and finally graduating with them. I am extremely sad that we are parting after our many years going to school together. I will miss you all but I cannot wait to see all that you guys accomplish throughout this next big chapter of our lives. Thank you all for making my days brighter and my high school experience better. Good luck to all of you!

Congratulations GHS Class of 2017, I"ll never forget you!!

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
