I went to San Fransisco for two weeks and I got to explore the city. One of my favorite times I spent doing in the city is experiencing Ghirardelli in person. Ghirardelli almost felt like a movie to me like it was a world of homemade chocolate. Every second when I was there I could smell the fresh chocolate in the air. There was a section where the chefs would be making the chocolate. It felt like a wonderland of chocolate like my imagination was coming true. Ghirardelli Square is a landmark public square with shops and restaurants in the Fisherman's Wharf area of San Fransisco. While I was there, I was able to choose my own type of chocolate that Ghirardelli sells to take home. My favorite type of chocolate Ghirardelli sells is their milk chocolate and caramel. The taste is rich and delightful milk chocolate with caramel filling inside.
Ghirardelli has a menu of various desserts such as the sea salt caramel sundae, banana split, the world famous hot fudge sundae, and many more. I was able to share a sundae with a friend that is from the Bay Area and San Fransisco. Chocolate is something that the world enjoys and loves because of the happy feeling it gives people. A very fun fact is I was able to see the Ghirardelli chocolate machine and saw how chefs would make the chocolate. Ghirardelli Chocolate Company sells a variety of chocolate and a few of their best sellers are Chocolate Delights Gift Basket and the Milk Chocolate Caramel squares gift bag. In the fall Ghirardelli sells their seasonal chocolate called Pumpkin Spice Caramel. The chocolate company is based upon the man named Domenico Ghirardelli. He was born in Rapallo, Italy and at a young age, he was introduced to the chocolate and confectionery trade. In 2002, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company celebrates its 150th anniversary and in 2003 Ghirardelli started to sell and introduce their squares stand up bags. As you may know, there is a lot of history behind Ghirardelli and in San Fransisco, the Ghirardelli Square is a tradition. Ghirardelli. A popular event that happens in San Fransisco is the Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival. The Annual Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival serves hosts over 50 sweet treats from all around the Bay Area. Some of Ghirardelli's sponsors for the chocolate festival were Nissan, Krispy Kreme, ABC news channel, and Dreyer's. The 2019 Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival is next Fall on September 7th and 8th. After my visit from Ghirardelli Square, I was able to bring home 40 chocolates in two separate gold tins to represent the Golden Gate Bridge. To my audience reading this article, I highly recommend visiting Ghirardelli Square in San Fransisco if you haven't already. It is a great way to experience the city and to enjoy yourself. Chocolate does not fail, it is tasty and makes people happy.
