Sometimes the worst part of a concert is the merch line. You want to get that tour shirt so you can wear it to the next school day or to bed. Since the merch is in an opened area, people do not create single filed lines. People will try to cut in front of you to get merch and if you let them, you will be in that line forever. When I saw Bruno Mars this past October they only had one more shirt in the size that I wanted. I was getting very anxious that someone would grab it before me and I would have to wait another 20 minutes in another line. Right when I thought I was next in line he went to the other side and I started freaking out more. When he went to the next person I told him that I just wanted that last shirt and even had the money out to hand to him. By me not sitting around nd waiting for the shirt I did get it.
Pit/GA can be the best and worse experience.Â
Pit can get you closer to the artist than anyone else. The problem is when the artist comes on stage everyone will start to push for some reason. I have had some marks from the barricades due to me being so pushed up against it for so long. Be prepared to have to shove your way through if you want to move up. No one wants to lose their spot so they will do their best to not let anyone get in front of you. Depending on the genre of music, being in the pit will be a different experience each time. Now, don't be scared of the negatives because pit has so many more positives. For starters you can easily make friends. If you want a close spot you need to get to the show early. It's important to talk to the people near you in line because they will most likely be the people standing next to you at the show. When I went to go see Justin Bieber last year I actually made a friend. To this day we still snapchat each other and stay in touch. The best part about having pit is how close you feel to the artist. If you are front row, you will have the best experience. Throughout the show countless interactions will occur and if the artist takes a picture of the crowd you will be able to see yourself in the picture and point it out to your friends.Â
Be prepared for any kind of weather change.
The weather can change in an instant! This mainly applies to concerts that take place outside or in stadiums. If a venue makes you wait outside, you need to be prepared. Do NOT let the weather app deceive you. I always make sure to bring some sort of jacket with a hood, even if it is summer. The weather can become windy and get chilly or it can start down pouring. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
Your seats do not limit your experience.Â
Trust me I understand how it can suck getting those nosebleed seats when you really wanted floor. Being close to your favorite artist would be the coolest thing and you would get such amazing pictures. Sometimes though having those nosebleed seats are better. From my experience, I noticed I take less videos and pictures with nosebleed seats. I found myself enjoying the music more and exploring my surroundings. Plus it saves you some money and you still get to experience the show!Â
You must be AGGRESSIVE in the merchandise line!

Enjoy your experience!
The most important thing I have learned from concerts is to ENJOY the show. Taking pictures and videos are good to look back on, but are you truly experiencing the show if you are focused on taking pictures and video the whole time? The best part of a show is when the artists(s) slow it down and people whip out their lights on their phones. Take a moment to look around and experience the love that is in the room. If it is a part where the audience sings back, I promise nothing will be more beautiful at the show than that.Â
Concerts are always a place to getaway. When you enter that show, all your problems and stress disappear. I have learned so much from going to concerts and I think it is why I keep attending them. Regardless of the price it is something that will stick with me for the rest of my life compared to a piece of clothing. Nothing will beat the energy and happiness a concert brings to you. Music is a universal language and concerts prove how strong it is.Â
