What I love about a new year is the new adventure and story we'll all tell. A fresh start, a second chance, reinvention. Instead of the typical, unoriginal "work out, eat better, etc." goals, here are some unique resolutions to consider doing in 2017:
Get a Tattoo
If you've been planning your future tattoo for years, do it. If you want it, go for it, but be mindful that this is a permanent thing, which is what I love about tattoos: they never change, forever preserving the memory.
Have a Shaving Cream Fight
I've done this back in 2014 and it was really fun, and cheap. It was messy and hard to wash off, but well worth the struggle. Don't be afraid to be silly and make a mess once in awhile.
Pay it Forward
Whether you donate money, volunteer, or pay for a stranger, being kind is free and is so much more rewarding than money could ever fulfill.
Change your hair
Streaks, dip dying, or maybe a whole new look, if you're feeling ready for a change, why not? Experiment, fulfill your crazy hair fantasies to your little creative heart's content.
Donate your Hair
Speaking of hair, if you're feeling generous, why not donate your hair to good use? Lots of cancer patients and people with alopecia would really be grateful to have a wig made from love.
Have a Paint Fight
I've done this three times and I'm not ashamed to admit. This is a fun, messy activity ideal for friends that don't take themselves too seriously, great for pictures and memories. Start your summer off right by throwing paint in your best friend's face and see the results:)
See a Broadway Musical
I saw my first Broadway, Matilda, back in 2015 and I'm eager to go to another show. Whether it's Hamilton, Cats, or American Idiot, there's a show for everybody with seemingly flawless performers, gorgeous sets, you'll leave the venue feeling like you've experienced a new world.
