89 days out of 365 are dedicated solely to Pinterest's beloved season, Fall. Besides the basic apple picking and hay rides, what else does this season has to offer? Walking around an apple orchard picking apple from dwarf trees is definitely fun but there are many other activities that need their own lime light.
1. Leaf peeping
Yes, leaf peeping is a real thing. Now for those who love a good photo opp, this activity is just for you. Leaf peeping requires people to travel around and visit their favorite color changing leaves. Who doesn’t love a good picture surrounded by yellow, orange and tan leaves?
2. Corn Mazes
Are especially fun if you lack a sense of direction. Heading out to all the different mazes around Texas could take a bit longer than 89 days but is definitely worth it. When it comes closer to Halloween, some mazes even turn them into mazes of horror which attract adrenaline seekers.
3. Is it even Fall if you don't tailgate?
Whether you decide to attend a rowdy fraternity tailgate or a family oriented tailgate, nothing says fall more than football, tailgates and touchdowns.
4. Apple pie is a tradition.
Go out, pick yourself some nice apples, go back home and make an apple pie from scratch. Betty Crocker could not be prouder if you succeed at this tedious task.
5. Pumpkin carving
is one of the best therapies available during this chilly time. A new trend that seems to be blowing up Instagram feeds everywhere is painting a pumpkin rather than carving one. Turning a pumpkin into a scary jack-o-lantern or painting and bedazzling it to resemble a unicorn can be tailored to fit a person's preferences.
6. Building a bonfire
is something that be done during the winter time, but who wants to wait that long? If you're roasting 'mallows and telling stories around a warm fire while wearing a flannel, nothing gets more fall than that.
7. Decorate with pine cones
Pine trees definitely are a reminder of winter but collecting their pine cones for decoration can be done throughout the Fall season in order to prepare for the icy cold winter.
8. Friends, Fall and Friendsgiving.
Potluck Thanksgiving dinners should also be added to the bucket list. While coming together for a good time and also to judge the culinary skills of your closest friends is a great way to end fall and welcome winter.
9. Listen to the sound of leaves crunching underneath your feet as you walk.
Fall leaves are not just some irritating foliage that you have to rake up in your front yard, but they are also a reminder of something new that is about to start. If the past couple of months were not in your favor, the start of fall is like the start of something new. Which leads to the last thing that should be added to your Fun Fall Activities:
10. Giving thanks for what you have.
Even if you feel as if you have been receiving the short end of the stick, being thankful for living through another day is at least one thing to be thankful for.
Fall can be more than just likes, shares and reactions on social media. It is a time to go out and be spontaneous, a time to enjoy life to the fullest in a flannel and a time to reconnect with nature. Besides its lovely temperatures, Fall has much more to offer, a person just has to be willing to go out and find them.
