As a current senior at The Florida State University, I can't help but be extremely sad at how this football season is going. This was supposed to be our best season since our 2013 National Championship. To be honest, I think we all feel a little cheated this season and there is a wide variety of emotions flowing through my veins as game-days roll around. Here's a list of 10 things I know every FSU fan is feeling this football season.
1. Pissed at Alabama.
Why did you have to take our pride and joy, Deondre Francois, away from us? You just had to tear his patella in the final minutes of the game. How rude.
2. Extreme sadness.
I don't know if this roller coaster of emotions is going to take a turn this semester but I'm sure hoping it is.
3. The desire to drink these losses away.
If I took a shot for every time I was stressed during a Florida State football game I'd be in the hospital at this point.
4. The want to petition to stop giving FSU the noon time slot.
Just give us a break TV people...We live in Florida; check the weather.
5. Being so emotionally overwhelmed you don't even want to watch the game.
Love/hate relationship as I watch my Noles in the magical land of Doak or on TV. It's a constant inner battle of "am I going to put myself through this?" as you see yet another referee make a terrible call.
6. Deciding to watch the game anyways and crying through the cracks of your fingers as you cover your eyes.
Maybe my tears will carry the ball into the end-zone and score a touch down.
7. Hate for the sunburn we're getting from all the afternoon games.
LMK if you've made it out of a noon game without third-degree burns from the sun.
8. Anxiety every time a game-day rolls around.
The excitement for tailgating can only override the fear of losing so much.
9. Wanting to punch someone in the face after they say, "yeah so how bout them Noles this season?" or "How was losing to UM?"
No words for you people.
10. Unconditional love for the Noles, win or lose.
Win or lose and through all the heartbreaks we've endured this season, I still couldn't be happier to attend the best school in the nation.
