Dear Human Being,
I hope you are well today. I hope you are enjoying the sun gently graze your face, warm your shoulders--your chest rising to her protection. I know that she can be overwhelming sometimes and bear her soul and scorch in excitement or in pure instinct. She only wishes the warmth in your life to be unlimited, unwavering. Yes, the sun takes days off, too. She may become sick and the clouds rush in and help clean all the bad toxins that may have snuck up on her while she wasn’t looking. Sometimes the clouds over compensate and rain a little too hard to cleanse her, to cleanse you. Do not worry, the shade is nothing to be afraid of-- your shadow will be back and keep you company once more.
I hope your night is as hypnotic as the stars hiding underneath the blanket of pollution. That you can feel their whispers illuminate your soul so that your dreams are just as wild as your heart. The moon will watch over you. I know he likes to play dress-up and wear a new outfit every night of the week but don't worry everyone likes to go incognito every once in awhile or even all at once. The moon will take a night of rest and return rejuvenated with a waxing routine that you have committed to memory.
I know you wonder why the reflection against the water shivers at the presence of the wind but the wind is just as untamed as you and I are. I know you experience the reflection as a living entity; as alive as the trees around you, whistling and singing with a harmony twisting along a different frequency. We cannot hear it, but we know it is there. We know that we are breathing in harmonies with our souls and out with our melodies intertwined with their symphony. I know that sometimes when you look down that you are struck with unease with how still the water has become. Sometimes there's just no where to go and that is okay. We do not always need to make a new song or change the reflection staring back.
I know there are other human beings that are beautifully chaotic, blooming through the asphalt and standing upright after being held upside down their whole lives. I know that their smiles are fueled by the art of surviving or by the kindness of morning dews greeting. I also know they may be cruel sometimes: riddled with flaws that may translate into anger or sadness or pain. I know that there are just somethings that are out of our power, but I also know there are somethings that can only be treated by ourselves. Forgive yourself, forgive others, learn from everyone and everything around you. Remember the strongest thing you can do is ask for help.
Do not get caught up on the human that you forget to experience the being.
Yours interminably,
Human Being
