Having friends is what makes life worth living. That circle of friends that you hang out with the most mean the most to you and you to them.
It is hard to go through life without friends and it is highly unlikely that you will do so. You could feel isolated but there is always someone in the background rooting for you or in the foreground, actively cheering you on. There may be a couple somebodies. Or even a whole crowd!
If you're having a rough time, seek out your friends. They will do their best to give you advice if you need it, listen to you, give you comfort, or whatever you need.
Some people will fade out of your life slowly. There will be abrupt fights that cut ties. It will leave a gap in your heart but your "remaining" friends will help you to mend that hole. Another person may come into your life and help refill that gap.
My friends are some of my favorite people. They are my family away from my family. I have several compassionate mothers. I have a few sibling rivalries (all in good fun). I have the cool and chill cousins. I have a father figure.
We eat meals together, share stories, advise each others' actions and plans, but most of all, we have fun.
There have been days where I've felt completely fallen apart. I would drag myself to one of their rooms and just being around them would bring a smile to my face. Their jokes, familiarity, and kindness can overcome anything that's holding me down.
They know you the best, probably even better than you know yourself. They will swoop in whenever there is the slightest notion that something is amiss with their friend. Your friends, your true friends, will love and care about you more fiercely than a pack of wolves.
Appreciate your friends and they shall appreciate you. They keep you going, whether you know it or not.
So, thank you to my biggest fans - my friends! You guys make my world keep turning!
