Having friends is an important part of life. Some people have big groups of friends, and others stick to a few close friends. Either way, we need people in our lives who will be there for us, hold us accountable and have fun with us.
I prefer to have a few close friends that I know for a fact I can trust, rather than hanging out with big groups of people that I may not know as well. I just recently finished my freshman year of college. While some people may fear they will not make friends, I was fortunate enough to be able to go with my best friend. I knew that if I did not make any other friends, I would at least have her.
When I am with my best friend, I am able to be myself more than when I am not. She gives me confidence and makes me feel more comfortable talking to people. We were lucky enough to meet some incredible people during our freshman year, and we even become close friends with a few others.
I realized how important these girls are to me. We all come from different places, but we bring out the best in each other. I am so thankful to have these girls in my life and to be able to go through college with them. I have learned so much from each of them, and I am glad that God brought them into my life.
Anna, thank you for sticking with me through high school and now through college. You are my forever best friend, and I can't imagine what my life would be like without you. I love you so much.
Hannah, Tori, Alyssa, and Kelsie, I love you guys so much. You guys have taught me so much and I am beyond thankful for each and every one of you.
It is important to find friends that help you grow in a positive way. It is nice to know you have people who willingly stick around to help you deal with all of your crap. I can't wait to do sophomore year with all of my friends.
