This article is for the people who have had my back since the semester started. Cheers to the laughs and mental breakdowns we've shared, the lunch/dinner dates and chats.

For The Friends Who Have My Back Even When They're Struggling Too

This past week, I've had countless assignments, a couple of exams, and just my regular classes to get through. Not to mention that I choose this week to cover a few more shifts for some extra money at the computer labs. All in all, I can't lie and say that this has been the most relaxing week I've ever had. It was genuinely the opposite, with each night bringing less sleep than the last and more stress than ever before.

But, just because I hit a few bumps in the road, doesn't mean it was all bad. Between all of the academic work and actual working I had to do, there was still time for me to see my friends. Whether this was in class where we struggled together, eating a wonderful meal at the great dining hall we know as Brower (sometimes getting food at Henry's or Cafe West), or just having a chat in the hallway, it honestly did not matter.

The friends I have are people that are genuinely kind and care about one another. There is never a moment where they aren't concerned about how everyone is doing. When we're not together, everyone is texting in thee groupchat or sending photos on Snapchat; everyone knows what everyone is up to. There are always a million and one conversations going on between the seven or eight of us, but most of them revolve around how our lives are going.

With everything going on, its easy to forget that others exist and have their own problems. But, my friends were always willing to make sure that I was getting enough hours of sleep, making it to class, and overall just making sure I took care of myself. All of this, even though they all had their own assignments and exams to worry about.

I was entirely grateful for the hugs and laughs, making sure to return the favor when needed. I remember, just the other night two of my friends and I were sitting in the basement lounge of our dorm, struggling to study at three in the morning. With multiple crises going on, there was never a dull moment as we all slowly went delusional from lack of sleep. At some point, the silence turned into conversation as two of us talked the other through a little breakdown of her future. It had nothing to do with what we needed to get done for the day approaching nor was it something that needed to be thought about at that very moment. But, the conversation was had and she was slowly reassured that everything was going to work itself out. While this may seem insignificant and just one example of our friendship, this happens so many time in a day, let alone for how long we've known each other. And did I mention that I just became closer to these guys and gals this semester? I can't even imagine how they've helped each other since they became their own little group.

So cheers to my people. The people who are always willing to go the extra mile. Much love for all of you and I'm so looking forward to the new memories we make together. I hope

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
