Navigating who your friends are in high school is hard for everyone. There is so much pettiness everywhere around you and it can be very discouraging. Sometimes you feel like you are all alone. However, the best thing is when you find that one true friend you can count on. That friend deserves to know just how much she means to me.

You became my rock and my go to in such a small amount of time. One day we were just friends and then the next day you became who I could count on. You became the person I would turn to in every situation, the person I would rant to any time of day. We started to do everything together and we were okay because we always had each other. We could not have survived high school without the other person and that is a fact. You supported me and defended me in every situation. High school ending was never something I thought I would be sad about, until we became inseparable by the end of senior year. High school ending now meant we would not see each other every day and that we would be attending not only separate schools, but rival schools. I didn't want anything in our friendship to change.

The best part is though, nothing changed. In fact, if it did change it was only for the better. Throughout this summer and our first semester of college our friendship got even stronger. Through concerts, sonic rides, farewell lunches, random Facetime calls that I love every week, talking every day, rants, seeing each other every time we come home, supporting each other even while I wear orange and you wear crimson, and just being there for each other even while being 85 miles away.

So thank you. Thank you for being the person I can rely on no matter what. Thank you for being the person who calls me when college is rough and makes me laugh. Thank you for always making time to answer my texts. Thank you for being the kindest, purest, most sincere, soul I have ever met in my life. Thank you for being the best friend who turned into my rock. I cannot wait for more years of NBA games (bad luck charms), concerts, sonic rides, endless Facetimes, and just being best friends.
