To The Friend That Is Always On My Team

I get by with a little help from my friends.

Going through life without friends is just as bad as braving a storm without a raincoat. The utmost important quality needed in friends is trust. With trust comes loyalty. With loyalty comes support. Supportive friends make the world go round.

There is nothing more frustrating than always having someone who is supposed to be happy for you shut you down when you get excited. A friend that brings you down to make themselves feel better is not a friend.

So here is to the friends that are always on your team.

Thank you for always being happy for me when I have something to be excited about, no matter how small. You gave me that supportive smile when no one else would.

You told me you were happy when I started dating that guy who gave you a bad vibe but you saw how much he made me smile. And then when that ended poorly you were the first to respond by cursing him until next Sunday.

You brought me comfort when the going got tough. You were my shoulder to cry on from miles away and brought me back down to reality because God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers.

Thank you for always putting me as a priority. I would never have made it through those midnight breakdowns without you. Everything I went through you were by my side.

I am a very independent person, so opening up and asking for help was never easy, but with you it was, it is. I took on so much a once and despite my horrible mentality, I was never at it alone. You always look for solutions to my problems, minute or drastic.

You taught me to follow my instincts despite what everyone else said. Your intuition is spot on and I will bee envious of that for years to come.

I am so thankful for friends who are not just extra baggage in an already heavy life. Although, I don't get to say it often I am so happy to have you in this crazy beautiful hectic life. Thank you for braving the storm with me.

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition."
