Friend. A noun with seven descriptions to include; a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection. Another is a person who acts as a supporter of a cause or organization. Yet another is a person who is not an enemy but someone who is on the same side.
During a recent life change I have been surprised and delighted to see the love and strength of so many friends. Not all friends are created equal but all can be value added and a true blessing. Best friends, inner circle friends, long time friends, social sharing friends; embrace and love each friend for who they are. 1 Samuel 18:3 "A good friend is a blessing from God".
Friends are such an important part of our lives. We turn to them to celebrate, laugh, cry, grow, and move forward in life. Friends are like a beautiful pot of flowers; different but together creating a breathtaking bouquet. As life moves forward and seasons change so will the flowers in your bouquet. Some friends will be life long while others are brought in and out of our lives adding warmth, love, listening and guidance when needed. I am thankful that God doesn't take our lives from point A to point B direct. He allows turns, bypasses, and detours along the way bringing others into our paths. Psalms 56:3 tells us "We can't always see where the road leads but God promises there's something better up ahead we just have to trust him".
Always stay open minded and heart ready for the next friendship God has in store for you. Many of the best friendships happen unexpectedly without warning.
