My roommate and I learned quickly that "adulting" is tough. We manage to make quite a few mistakes, so I'm here to share this advice with you—so you don't end up like us.
1. Don’t eat salsa in your bed.
Just don’t. It’s not a good idea, no matter how badly you’re craving it.
2. When you think you need an alarm, set 5.
You’re constantly tired and you won’t wake up on time.
3.KNOW THE NUMBER FOR HEALTH SERVICES.
Anything can happen, on that note you may also want to get campus police and maintenance too. It’s pretty easy to blow a fuse in your room—possibly three times in less than a week—and you don’t want to sit in the dark.
4. Wear comfortable shoes, you will walk A LOT.
Blisters aren’t fun. Somedays you may be out and it may take you an hour to walk home.
5.Find a solid friend group.
These people will always be there for you, whether it’s for food or for a fun night out. They’ll have your back and always make sure you’re safe. You’ll be living with these people and they’ll become your family away from home.
