Often called "the clowns of the dog world" French Bulldogs or 'Frenchies' are clearly the best breed in the world. They're the perfect companion dog. They mirror your personality and in some ways, become a caricature of yourself.

As a Frenchie owner, I can tell you that my buddy Lola is one of the best things to ever happen to me.

I mean come on. Look at that.

Not only are they absurdly adorable, they are very playful from a young age. Even as I sit here writing this, Lola is going back and forth between flailing a stuffed toy around and stopping to lick it and check to make sure it's OK. This is especially funny to me, since this is exactly what I did with her at a young age. She would romp around the living room, and if she fell, I would stop to make sure she was OK. (She's growling at me now to get her to play with her.)

Frenchies are also renowned as the world's best cuddlers because of the short coat and the strong companionship bond they form with their owners, they like to burrow. When being held, they will often try and bury their face into a person's arm. When sitting, they will often try and bury their face under your leg or hide under a blanket if there is one.

If you've ever had a Lab or Golden Retriever, you know what type of companionship bond I'm talking about.

It's not all sunshine and rainbows though. Frenchies are known to be a little stubborn. When I call Lola, occasionally she will respond by looking me dead in the eye, and walking away as if she knew what I wanted but didn't give a flying flip. I know when she does something reluctantly because she does it at half speed and stares me down the whole time. Before Lola, I've never seen a dog passive-aggressively "shake."

At the end of the day though, Frenchies are a great addition to any house, large or small. They're happy with just a short walk and a few trips outside per day and your company.

So what are you waiting for? Go find yourself a Frenchie!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
